WINE, BENVENUTO BRUNELLO BACK IN NY WITH 34 PRODUCERS AND 450 TOP TRADE AND PRESS

(Montalcino – SI, January 28th 2025). The Consorzio del vino Brunello di Montalcino restarts from the United States, flying to New York on February 4th for the stars-and-stripes edition of Benvenuto Brunello. The appointment with the new 2020 Annata and the 2019 Riserva of the prince of Tuscan reds is at GH on the Park in Manhattan where 34 producers will meet over 450 top trade and US press.

“In a general context of uncertainty for the wine industry, it is essential for us to continue to preside over our main market, where we allocate over 30% of our exports – comments the president of the Brunello di Montalcino consortium Fabrizio Bindocci - .  In 2024, domestic sales of Brunello showed further growth (+2% in value according to the UIV Observatory on a Sipsource basis) in contrast with the market averages, but 2025 opens with many doubts: on the one hand the discussion on the labels with health warnings, on the other the the duties announced by President Trump. This is why Benvenuto Brunello USA's appointment is of particular importance."

Benvenuto Brunello New York opens with the walk-around tasting (11am-4pm) with the wineries. In the glasses, in addition to the new vintages of Brunello, also the Rosso di Montalcino 2023. At the same time, the first session of Delving deeper into Brunello di Montalcino 2020, the seminar conducted by the Master of Wine Gabriele Gorelli who for the occasion illustrates Brunello Forma, the new vintage evaluation method of presented for the first-time last November at the preview in the Tuscan village, and the preview of the 3D video of the denomination created by the French wine maps expert Pierre Le Hong. Followed by the second seminar session (1.30 pm); both events also include the tasting of eight wines. Closing the program is the cocktail dinner at The Skylark, the lounge bar overlooking the Empire State Building, with around a hundred guests including top tier trade and journalists who will be able to taste different vintages of Brunello di Montalcino.
