We first went into winemaking with the nonchalance of amateurs having fun. Then we began to realize that this magnificent expanse of Tuscany commanded respect as well as enjoyment, and that producing good wines is hugely demanding. So we set to work, tackling the challenges we encountered with passionate engagement and the desire to learn.
Ours is a small estate, so the focus on quality is truly an achievable goal. We grow Sangiovese grapes on a hillside that looks towards Montalcino. The three wines we produce are those for which the area has achieved worldwide renown: Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Rosso di Montalcino DOC and Orcia DOC.
